Standard Visitor Visa
The Standard Visitor Visa is for people who are not eligible for any other visa and want to visit the UK for a short period of time. It is also appropriate for people who want to visit the UK for tourism, family or business purposes.
If you are applying in advance of your trip, then you will need to submit all documents online and pay the application fee at least 3 months before your planned arrival date. If you apply within the UK on arrival, then there is no fee involved, but there are additional requirements; such as proof of funds and evidence that you intend to return home after your stay in the UK
